International Travel Guidelines: International flights, which have been closed for almost two years due to Corona, are being resumed from Sunday. The Civil Aviation Ministry has issued guidelines regarding the starting of international flights, in which some relaxation has been given regarding COVID rules. According to the new rules, it will not be necessary for the cabin crew to wear PPE kit inside the flight. Apart from this, the security personnel at the airport can check the passenger by touching it if needed. Apart from this, airlines are also not required to keep three seats vacant for medical emergencies.
In the order issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, it has been said that this relaxation is being given in the COVID rules on the basis of decreasing cases of corona and running the vaccination program on a large scale. It has also been said in the order that after the relaxation of these rules, it is expected that the air operation will run smoothly. However, it has also been clearly stated in the order that it will be mandatory to apply face mask, follow social distancing and use hand sanitizer while traveling to and from the airport.
The order states that keeping in mind any such medical emergency on air, airlines can keep some additional PPE kits, sanitizers and N-95 masks on the flight. Significantly, due to Corona, the aviation world has suffered heavy losses in the last two years. However, from the last two months, the aviation industry has started to recover. In February, 76.96 lakh people traveled by domestic air, which is 20 percent more than in January. The government started domestic flight operations from 18 October 2021.
