Lucknow Super Giants have included Andrew Tye of Australia in place of their injured player Mark Wood in the Tata IPL. Mark Wood suffered an elbow injury in the first Test against the West Indies earlier this month. Due to which England’s fast bowler Mark Wood withdrew his name from the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League ie IPL.
Mark Wood was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in the IPL 2022 mega auction for Rs 7.50 crore, but the England pacer decided to pull out a few days before the start of the tournament.

Andrew Tye has had a good IPL career. Andrew Tye has played 32 T20Is for Australia and has taken 47 wickets, while in IPL he has taken 40 wickets in 27 matches. He will join the Lucknow team for his one crore rupees.
The team of Lucknow Super Giants will play its first match in IPL 2022 against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans will also play in the IPL for the first time.
