New Delhi. Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, accused in the Sikh riots case, has approached the court for anticipatory bail. He has filed a petition before Justice Vikas Dhul. Now the court has issued a notice to the CBI in this matter and directed it to file its reply by August 3. Please tell that the petition will be heard on Wednesday. Earlier, taking cognizance of the chargesheet, the court had asked Tytler to appear before it on August 5. On May 20, the court filed a charge sheet against Tytler in the case.
In fact, in the past, the CBI had said in its chargesheet that on November 1, 1984, Jagdish Tytler had gathered a crowd in Pul Bangash area and incited them to attack the Sikh community. After which the angry mob set ablaze three Gurudwaras in Pul Bangash area.
The CBI had filed a supplementary charge sheet against Tytler in the case on May 20, taking cognizance of which Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vidhi Gupta Anand summoned Tytler. However, now what is the stand of the court regarding Jagdish Tytler in the coming days. Everyone’s eyes will be fixed on this.
