Started from Agra Jail
DIG Prisons Agra Radhakrishna Mishra said that in order to connect the prisoners with the knowledge of Gita, Gita Bank has been started from Central Jail Agra in the jails of Uttar Pradesh. Prisoners can read Shrimad Bhagwat Gita by issuing it from this bank. He said that many works are being done by the jail administration for the moral, character, intellectual and cultural development of the prisoners. Geeta Gyan Yagya will prove to be very useful in the establishment of religion and justice along with the moral and character upliftment of the prisoners. Shrimad Bhagwat Gita is the only basis for the whole world and universal brotherhood. With this thought, Geeta Bank has been established in Central Jail Agra in collaboration with Indian Character Building Institute.
