Terrorists shot and injured a policeman in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar on Saturday. A police officer said that the injured constable has been admitted to the hospital. According to the official, “Terrorists opened fire on constable Ghulam Hasan of Jammu and Kashmir Police at around 8.40 am near Aiwa Bridge in Safakadal area of the city. The constable was seriously injured in the attack.
The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is on to nab the attackers, the official said. On the other hand, security forces in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday arrested two associates of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGUH) terrorists. “The Budgam Police along with Army and CRPF have arrested two associates of terrorists of banned terrorist organization AGUH in Huru area of Budgam in central Kashmir,” a police spokesman said.
The arrested accused have been identified as Amir Manzoor Budu, a resident of Dangerpora Razwan and Shahid Rasool Gani, a resident of Putramulla Safapora, Ganderbal, the official said. The spokesman said incriminating material including a hand grenade and 25 AK-47 cartridges were recovered from them. He said that a case has been registered and further investigation is going on.
