New Delhi. Today is an important day for the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution related to Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the abrogation of 370. Here PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many development projects worth more than 20000 crores.

This year’s Panchayati Raj Day, being celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir, marks a big change. It is a matter of great pride that when democracy has reached the grass root in Jammu and Kashmir, then from here I am interacting with Panchayats across the country.
Palli Panchayat is moving towards becoming the first Carbon Neutral Panchayat in the country. Today, I have also got an opportunity to connect with the people’s representatives of the villages of the country in the village of Palli. Many congratulations to Jammu and Kashmir for this great achievement and development works.
Today many families have also got property cards of their houses in villages. These ownership cards will inspire new possibilities in the villages. 100 Jan Aushadhi Kendras will become a medium to provide cheap medicines, cheap surgical items to the poor and middle class of Jammu and Kashmir.
Projects worth 20 thousand crore rupees related to connectivity and electricity have been inaugurated and the foundation stone has been laid here. To give a new impetus to the development of Jammu and Kashmir, work is going on at a fast pace in the state. These efforts will provide employment to a large number of youths of Jammu and Kashmir.
