Srinagar. PM Narendra Modi is arriving in Jammu and Kashmir on a 2-day visit from today. PM Modi will reach Srinagar at around 6 pm. After this, he will participate in the program Empowering Youth, Change in Jammu and Kashmir at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center. PM Modi is also going to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 84 development projects worth more than 1500 crores in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, he will also participate in Yoga Day here.
It has been told by the PMO that the projects for which Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone include road, drinking water supply and higher education projects. Apart from this, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for improvement of Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri section, development of industrial estates and 6 government degree colleges. Modi will also launch projects related to agriculture and related fields costing 1800 crores. These projects will reach 15 lakh people in 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. In Srinagar, Modi will also hand over appointment letters for government jobs to 2000 youth.
Modi will reach SKICC in Srinagar at 6.30 am on Friday, June 21. Here he will participate in the 10th International Yoga Day celebrations. Apart from doing yoga, Modi will also address the people present here. The PMO has informed that the theme of Yoga Day this year is ‘Yoga for self and society’. Its objective is to promote social welfare in addition to the personal life of the people. This time Yoga Day is being organized to encourage the spread of yoga in rural areas as well. According to the PMO, the aim of Yoga Day 2024 is to underline the profound impact on the young mind and body. Uniting thousands of people for yoga and promoting health all over the world is also the goal of Yoga Day this year.
