The Meteorological Center Srinagar has issued a warning of heavy rain and snowfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The weather could be bad on Wednesday as well. In the event of snowfall, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and other connectivity routes may get hit. Due to clear weather for the past several days, the day temperature is running 4 to 6 degrees above normal.
With the change in weather in the next twenty four hours, the cold may again take hold. The rise in day temperature has brought a change in the living habits of the people. On Monday, the weather remained clear throughout the day in Jammu and the maximum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius and last night’s minimum temperature was 8.1 degrees Celsius. Last night’s minimum temperature was recorded in Banihal of the division, 4.6 in Batote, 8.5 in Katra, 0.8 degree Celsius in Bhaderwah.
