GJEPC warned that gold could not be sold in the international market
Jewelery exporters are getting a lot of relief due to a tweet made by Gems and Jewelery Export Council (GJEPC) today on 16th June. In a tweet made by GJEPC, it was told that, a few days ago, jewelery exporters have been exempted from the rule of making hall marking mandatory on all gold ornaments by the Government of India. The instructions to be given by the Union Commerce Minister about this was said by GJEPC’s tweet.Let us inform that earlier the Gems and Jewelery Export Promotion Council had offered to the government that Indian jewelery hallmarks have not yet gained acceptance across the country and if the hallmarking rule is implemented, then the goods of Indian jewelery exports. Will not sell globally. Due to which India may suffer a lot of foreign exchange and the business of exporters may also be affected. It was informed by the Gems and Jewelery Export Promotion Council on its official Twitter handle that jewelery exporters have been exempted from hall marking.
