Mumbai, (IANS)| Reliance Jio has announced the launch of the much-awaited JioPhone Next as a new addition to its JioPhone line-up. Developed in partnership with tech giant Google, JioPhone Next will provide consumers with ultra affordable 4G phones. It will be powered by an optimized version of Android, a smartphone operating system developed by Google.
Announcing its launch at the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited on Thursday, RIL CMD Mukesh Ambani said that JioPhone Next will be available in the market from the auspicious date of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 10 this year. He said that the phone will first be introduced in India and then it will be launched in other markets of the world as well. Users can also download apps from Google Play on the JioPhone-Next smartphone specially designed for the Indian market. The smartphone will also get the best camera and Android updates.
Along with being quite affordable, the new phone has been given state-of-the-art features. It will get the support of voice assistant. Meaning the user will be able to search anything by speaking. Apart from this, the phone will come with automatic read aloud screen text feature. This will help the phone user to automatically convert the text written on the phone screen into audio. Also, language translation feature will be available in it. The phone will also get the best camera and Android updates.
