Jodhpur. After the violence that broke out in the Sursagar area of Suryanagari Jodhpur, the situation is now under control. A heavy police force is deployed in the riot-affected area. The police administration has imposed Section 144 in the five surrounding police station areas including Sursagar police station. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against 200 people in this regard. Out of them, 41 accused were arrested and presented in the court. The court has sent 39 accused to jail while councilor Dhirendra and Sharafat have got bail from the court.
A situation of tension had arisen in Sursagar, a very sensitive area of Jodhpur city, due to a fight between two teenagers and the removal of a gate from a shop on the wall of the 15-year-old Idgah. After that, a big uproar took place on Friday night regarding this matter. But now the situation has been almost completely controlled. On Saturday, the police administration remained on alert mode throughout the day. After registering a case against 200 people for the disturbance, the police started arresting the accused. The police arrested 41 accused and presented them in the court. Two of them got bail and the remaining 39 were sent to jail.
Appeal to both sides to maintain peace
Section 144 is imposed in five police station areas including Sursagar, Pratapnagar, Pratapnagar Sadar, Dev Nagar and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. Heavy police force is still deployed in the affected area. They are keeping an eye on every activity in the area. On Saturday, the entire riot-affected area remained a police camp throughout the day. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has expressed concern over the dispute that has arisen. Rajasthan Law Minister Jogaram Patel and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat have appealed to both the parties to maintain peace.
Shekhawat said-the state government is monitoring the situation
Union Minister Shekhawat said that I am in touch with the police and district administration regarding the dispute between two groups in Sursagar area. Jodhpur is a city of peace and harmony. The state government is monitoring the situation. Rajasthan government minister Jogaram Patel said that no anti-social element will be spared. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
