Let us tell you that a big train accident had happened last year as well. At that time, the Coromandel Express was going from Kolkata’s Shalimar station to Chennai. The Coromandel Express changed tracks for some reason at the Bahanga Bazar railway station in Odisha and collided with a goods train standing on the loop line. At the same time, another train also came from the opposite direction and some of its rear coaches became victims of the accident. Nearly 300 people lost their lives in this horrific rail accident.
