Bangalore. Rahul Gandhi’s proposed Satyamev Jayate conference in Kolar, Karnataka is being reported cancelled. According to Congress sources, on April 9, Rahul Gandhi had a program in Kolar. It is a matter of not getting it done now and taking it forward. Rahul Gandhi’s program was about to take place at the ground near the DC office in the outer Hula area of Kolar. The special thing is that on April 9 itself, PM Narendra Modi is also going to visit Karnataka. There Modi will go to Bandipur Tiger Reserve. On completion of 50 years of Project Tiger, Modi is about to launch the mega event in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts.
After Kolar in Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi also had to go to his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala. It is not yet known whether Rahul Gandhi will visit Wayanad or not. Voting for the assembly elections is going to be held in Karnataka on May 10. In such a situation, the Congress has hoped to create an atmosphere in the state through Rahul Gandhi’s visit. Rahul Gandhi has also been very vocal about Karnataka. During his Bharat Jodo Yatra and after that, he told the BJP government of Karnataka to work by taking 40 per cent commission. Now due to cancellation of Rahul’s program, Congress may have to become the target of opposition BJP.
The question is arising that why did Rahul Gandhi cancel the plan to go to Kolar in Karnataka? Is he going to appeal in a higher court against his conviction in a defamation case on that date? Let us tell you that the Surat court in Gujarat found Rahul Gandhi guilty of calling people with Modi surname thieves. Rahul has 30 days to appeal against the sentence. Rahul Gandhi is currently out on bail after being convicted in a defamation case.
