Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is going to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Many saints and Mahants will be present along with Prime Minister Modi during this time in Kashi Vishwanath Dham built in about 5 lakh square feet. The corridor will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in the presence of priests of 12 Jyotirlingas and 51 Siddhapeeths, 125 small temples have been built in this entire corridor.
Due to the inauguration of the corridor, devotees coming to the temple will no longer have to pass through narrow streets and paths. The Ganges Ghat can be seen directly from this corridor. The entire cost of construction of the corridor is Rs 900 crore. 23 small buildings have been built in this grand corridor. The corridor is divided into three parts, in which inscriptions of 22 aras have been made on the four gates and Pradakshina Marg, in which the glory of Kashi Dham has been told.
Apart from this, facilities like Mandir Chok, Mumukshu Bhawan, three passenger convenience centers, four shopping complexes, multipurpose hall, city museum, Varanasi gallery have also been provided in the corridor. After the completion of this corridor, devotees will be able to have darshan of Baba Vishwanath on a road 50 feet from the banks of the Ganges. Mahadev’s favorite plants Rudraksh, Bel, Parijat, Asopal will be planted in Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Prasad is being prepared for Baba Vishwanath temple, which will be distributed among more than 8 lakh families.

The foundation stone of the project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 8, 2019. By an ordinance, the Uttar Pradesh government declared the temple area as a special area. Several surrounding buildings were acquired. The Kashi Vishwanath temple was renovated in 1780 by Maharani Ahalya Bai Holkar. After this, Maharaja Ranjit Singh started gold plating at other places including the temple’s summit in 1853.
