Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday targeted the central government and the BJP. Indicating his entry into national politics, he said that he would unite all the parties on the issue of development and anti-people policies brought by the BJP and make everything right in the country.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Mallana Sagar reservoir in Telangana’s Siddipet district, KCR said, “I am moving towards influencing national politics. I say that by using all the abilities given to me by God, even after shedding the last drop of my blood, I will keep moving forward in the direction of making things right in the country.
Rao, who recently opened a front against the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, said the country was wandering on a wicked and abominable path. Referring to the hijab controversy that started in the neighboring Karnataka state, she said that some of her friends, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, told her that her daughters, studying in Bengaluru, had come home 20 days ago and they had to go back due to the controversy. Scared to take
He said that for the development of all the states of the country, the central government should work according to ‘Dharma’. Rao said creating unrest in the name of caste or religion and creating law and order problems would adversely affect the development and investment climate. “It is not good for the country,” he said. This is a bad policy. We should not tolerate this. This cancer should not be allowed to spread.
Significantly, amidst discussions of forming a Third Front, Rao has started efforts to bring together like-minded parties against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the national level. As part of these efforts, KCR had separately met his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar on Sunday.
