New Delhi. A video is going viral on social media in which the organizers were scolded by Muslim scholar and vice-president of the Board of Islamic Education, MT Abdullah Musliyar, for being called to honor a Muslim girl on stage during the inauguration of a madrasa. He was also humiliated. Now the Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan has given his reaction on this matter. He has spoken of the repression of women against the provisions and instructions of the Quran and the Constitution by the Maulvi of the country.
Being promising has become a crime – Governor
Expressing disappointment over the matter, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan tweeted saying, “This is yet another example of oppression of Muslim women by clerics. The silence of the political, social and economic leadership at the state and national level on this incident is disappointing. Whereas, all parties should come forward to protect the honor of daughters and condemn this incident. The only fault of that girl is that she is promising and was born in a Muslim family. Whereas, both the Quran and the Constitution talk about respect for women.

It can be seen in the video that MT Abdullah Musaliar is seen saying why the girl was called on stage against the rules of the institution in his presence. Let us tell you, in Kerala, about 10 thousand madrasas are run by the Board of Islamic Education, Samastha. Its vice-president MT Abdullah Musaliar holds a lot of importance in the politics of Kerala. However, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has to say on the whole matter that no matter how big a person is, the law applies to him too. In a democracy, only the rule of law matters. Even if a person runs lakhs of madrassas, it does not entitle him to humiliate a girl child.
