Kia India has today launched its much awaited three-row 7-seater car Kia Carens in the Indian market. The company has surprised everyone by presenting this car at a very affordable price. Adorned with an attractive look and strong engine capacity, the starting price of this luxurious family car has been fixed at just Rs 8.99 lakh. However, this is an introductory price, that is, it can be increased in the near future. The company has introduced this car with both petrol and diesel engine options.
Kia Carens is the fourth car from the company to be introduced in the Indian market. Till now the company’s portfolio included models like Seltos, Sonet and Carnival. Recently, the company started the official booking of this car. The company claims that this 7 seater car has received an excellent response, so far 19,089 units have been booked.
The company has introduced the Carens in two seating layouts, which includes both 6 seats and 7 seats. The special feature of this car is that its second row seats have been equipped with hydraulic tumble system. So to sit comfortably in the third row, all you have to do is press a button on the second row seat and the seat will fold up completely. So that an adult can easily go inside to sit in the back seat.
In profile, the car looks like an MPV but with several SUV-inspired design elements. Coming to the cabin, the Carens gets a seven-seat layout as standard, only the top variant gets a 6-seat configuration with a captain seat in the second row. The company is offering the Kia Carens with three engine options, in which the naturally aspirated engine generates 115hp power of 1.5 liters, the turbo petrol engine with 140hp power of 1.4 liters and the diesel engine of 1.5 liters capacity. , which generates power of 115hp. Its turbo petrol variants come with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) gearboxes. It also has a paddle shifter and different driving modes. This feature will help it compete with other models in the market.

The company claims that the petrol variant of this car gives a mileage of up to 16.5 kmpl. At the same time, it is being claimed to get a mileage of up to 21.3 kmpl from the diesel variant. The company also says that this is the most economical 7-seater car in the segment, its ownership cost to the vehicle owner will be just 0.37 paise. This makes this car even better in its segment.
