Patna. The heat in Bihar is breaking records and the maximum temperature in many districts of the state has crossed 45 degrees. On Wednesday, the temperature was recorded above 48 in Aurangabad and above 47 in Gaya. Meanwhile, due to severe heat and heat wave in Bihar, government schools have been closed on the orders of the CM on Wednesday evening. Schools will remain closed from May 30 to June 8. On the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Chief Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra has issued an order letter in this regard. But, now the news is that some amendments have been made in this order letter and it will be applicable only for children not coming to school. No relief has been given to teachers and they will have to come to school.

Sources say that there was a discussion between the Chief Secretary and KK Pathak regarding this, after which the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department KK Pathak has agreed to keep the teaching work closed only, but he has said that teachers will come to school as before and only children have got relief till June 8. KK Pathak has agreed to the leave of children and has ordered all DEOs.
Teachers are angry with KK Pathak’s order
It is being told that the letter has been issued to the District Magistrates of all the districts only after talking to KK Pathak. Under this order, teachers will come to school as before and officers will also inspect the schools every day. Meanwhile, anger has increased among the teachers regarding not giving leave to the teachers. The teachers’ union has said that will the teachers not be affected by the heat wave. If there are no children in the schools, then what is the need to call the teachers. Teachers have demanded relief to the teachers from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
There was a change in timing till class 8th
Let us tell you that earlier, Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak had changed the timing of schools from class 1 to 8. CM had instructed Chief Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra that a disaster situation is being created in the state due to severe heat and heat wave. Ensure appropriate action regarding closure of schools as per the need, in view of the current situation, so that the health of school children is not affected.

CM Nitish Kumar had also directed the Chief Secretary to hold a meeting of the Crisis Management Group and ensure other necessary actions in the current context. Earlier, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar had talked to the Chief Secretary of the state over the phone on the information of school children falling ill due to extreme heat, after which an order to close the schools was issued, but now it has been amended again.
More than 100 children fainted in Bihar schools
Let us tell you that classes were going on in government schools in Bihar amidst the scorching heat. More than 100 children fainted in schools due to heat in more than 10 districts on Wednesday. Many of them are being treated in different hospitals. The temperature in the districts where the children have fallen ill is above 45 degrees. After the children fell ill, there was anger among the parents in entire Bihar and they were demanding closure of schools.
