Four astronauts are finally back on Earth after spending 200 days on the International Space Station. These astronauts landed in the Gulf of Mexico near Florida via SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule. However, during this there is a lot of discussion about all the astronauts coming down from space wearing diapers. NASA also broadcast the entire incident of these astronauts landing on Earth live.
These astronauts had to wear diapers while returning to Earth. Actually, the toilet of the Crew Dragon spacecraft of Elon Musk’s company SpaceX was damaged. Due to which these astronauts were advised to travel wearing diapers to avoid any kind of trouble on the way. Last month, the toilet of SpaceX’s Inspiration 4 mission aircraft broke down during a three-day voyage from Earth’s orbit, causing urine to leak inside the capsule. As soon as SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule entered Earth’s atmosphere at night, friction caused it to appear red in thermal images. The capsule appeared like a meteorite in live thermal video imaging. The capsule’s parachutes had opened just before landing, reducing its speed to 24 kilometers per hour.
Earlier, the capsule carrying US, French and Japanese astronauts from the International Space Station was to land in the Gulf of Mexico on Monday morning. But SpaceX postponed the end of its six-month mission until Monday afternoon as wind speeds exceeded safe limits. Earlier the journey of astronauts to Earth was to be 20 hours, but due to delays it was later reduced to 8 hours.
