Kolkata. Bombay Stock Exchange BSE Chief Ashish Chauhan has advocated for giving Nobel Prize to PM Narendra Modi. Ashish said here on Friday that Modi ran the world’s largest free grain program during the Corona period and the Nobel Prize-giving committee must look into it. In the degree award program of IIM Kolkata, he said that in the year 2020, the Nobel Peace Prize was given to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). Which had provided food to only 11.5 crore people. Whereas, Modi provided free ration during the epidemic to 80 crore people 14 times more than this.
If we talk about WFP, according to the UN website, the organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020 for helping 97 million people. This work was done by the organization in 88 countries. A large number of people in these countries were victims of starvation. Ashish Chauhan said that we did not allow people to die of hunger even after the per capita income was very low during the Corona era. Ashish said that the country feels proud of such a situation. Let us tell you that during the Corona period, for two consecutive years, the Modi government gave free ration to 80 crore poor people. This number is more than the population of many countries. Ashish said that whether the Noble Committee sees this free ration scheme of Modi or not, everyone’s eyes are on it.
Ashish said that doctors, social workers and leaders worked together during the Corona period. We usually take out anger against the leaders, but in the era of Corona, the leaders supported by forgetting politics and stood shoulder to shoulder with the government.
