New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced that Komal Jangel would be given party ticket in the by-elections to the Kharagarh assembly seat of Chhattisgarh. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh said, BJP’s Central Election Committee has selected the party candidate for the Chhattisgarh Assembly by-election.
According to the Election Commission, the last date for nomination is March 24. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 28.
Polling for this seat is to be held on April 12. Counting of votes will take place on April 16. Apart from this, voting is also to be held on April 12 for one parliamentary seat Asansol and one assembly seat in West Bengal, Bellyganj, Bochahan assembly seat of Bihar and Kolhapur North seat of Maharashtra.
The BJP had announced the names of candidates for all these seats last week.
