New Delhi. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has been given a big blow by its allies in Bihar. The seat agreement has not yet been officially announced in the Grand Alliance for the general elections, yet RJD has announced its candidates from Aurangabad and the Left Party has announced its candidates from Begusarai. Whereas Congress wanted both these seats in its court.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has given a symbol to Abhay Kushwaha by making him the party candidate from Aurangabad. Whereas in Begusarai, Communist Party of India has announced to make Awadhesh Rai its candidate. According to sources, the Congress party was planning to field former Aurangabad MP Nikhil Kumar as its candidate, but before that, Lalu announced his candidate. On the other hand, Congress wanted to field its party’s fire brand leader Kanhaiya Kumar from Begusarai seat. After losing the Aurangabad seat, former Congress MP Nikhil Kumar has attacked RJD and said that Congress should immediately intervene in this entire matter and stop Lalu Prasad from taking unilateral decisions.
It is noteworthy that recently RJD had shown its attitude to Congress by fielding its candidates on 30 seats. After Nitish Kumar’s party JDU came out of the grand alliance and joined NDA, a condition has been put by RJD regarding seat sharing. According to the condition, RJD now wants 30 seats, there is an offer of 7 seats for Congress. Whereas Congress wants to field its candidates on at least 11 seats. In such a situation, Lalu Yadav’s RJD and Left party announcing their candidates without taking Congress along is raising questions on the future of India alliance in Bihar.
