The country’s leading automaker Tata Motors’ car Nexon is constantly being liked by the people, an example of this is that Nexon has been successful in registering its strength in the emerging EV market of India, moving in this direction. Now the company is planning to launch new models of Nexon, which comes within the company’s plan to build 10 EV portfolio within the next five years. Let us tell you that the flagship model of the company’s EV portfolio is working on the all-electric coupe version of Nexon, which will be available not only in electric but also in IC version.
design feature
The Nexon Coupe will be a wider version of the current Nexon with a new body style. Which has been made to run with both petrol and diesel engine options. However, after the fortunes of Tata Motors changed, the company has decided to launch the EV version of the Nexon Coupe with the IC engine derivative. The coupe will share the same platform (AX1) as the existing Nexon and both the body styles will be very similar.
If sources are to be believed, the wheelbase of this car is about 50 mm longer, which has been achieved by changes in wheel geometry, the total length of the new Nexon Coupe will be around 4.3 metres. Along with this, the design for the Nexon Coupe will be completely redesigned to differentiate it from the existing model apart from sportier body styling.
You will get more range in a single charge
According to company sources, the Nexon Coupe will be launched as the first Pure EV. While there is no information available on the powertrain at the moment, it is fair to assume that it will use the same electric drive as the current Nexon EV. But this long range Nexon EV is expected to get a bigger 40kWh battery pack. However, it is also likely that Tata Motors will have upgraded the Nexon EV’s electric motor with more power and torque than the existing 129hp power and 245Nm output.
