Lucknow. In view of the incident of communal violence in 10 places in the country including Delhi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath is in action mode. He reviewed the law and order situation in UP through video conferencing on Monday evening. In this review meeting, Yogi made it clear that there are many religious festivals in the coming days in UP and during this no procession or procession should be taken out without approval. He has asked the DMs and SSPs of all the districts to adopt a strict attitude in this regard. In the meeting, Yogi also asked for cancellation of leave of all policemen till May 4 and to instruct those who are on leave to return to their police stations by Tuesday evening.
Yogi said that permission should be given to only those religious processions which are traditional. Do not allow new events. He also directed the organizers to take an affidavit regarding maintaining peace and harmony. CM’s office will keep an eye on every instruction and get them to be followed. In the meeting, CM Yogi also raised questions on the functioning of police and administration in Aligarh. CM Yogi has made it clear that all religious programs and worship should be held at designated places only. No religious event should be allowed by blocking the road or traffic.
The Chief Minister said that all efforts should be made according to the local needs so that every festival should be celebrated with peace and harmony. Deal sternly with those issuing mischievous statements. The chaotic elements trying to spoil the atmosphere should also be dealt with strictly. Yogi said that there should be no place for such people in a civilized society. The festival of Eid and Akshaya Tritiya are likely to be on the same day. In such a situation, the police will have to be very sensitive in view of the current situation.
