Bhopal. BJP has given a blow to Madhya Pradesh Congress President and former CM Kamal Nath. In the local body elections, the BJP cleaned up the Congress in Sausar Municipality of Chhindwara, Kamal Nath’s home constituency. In these local body elections, the BJP had won 417 out of 814 seats till Friday. Apart from this, the party has claimed majority for BJP in 38 out of 46 local bodies. Congress got 250 seats, Independents got 131 seats, Aam Aadmi Party 7, Gondwana Gantantra Party 6 and BSP won 3 seats in 46 local body elections.
Not a single Congress councilor won in Sausar Municipality of Chhindwara. On this, Kamal Nath accused the BJP of misusing the government machinery. Kamal Nath alleged that the administration harassed the Congress candidates at the behest of the BJP. Along with accusing the government of defeat, he claimed that the Congress would return to power in Madhya Pradesh after the next 12 months. Kamal Nath said that people have generally voted in favor of Congress in Madhya Pradesh. Let us tell you that Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath had held public meetings and road shows to win the Congress candidates, but the Congress candidates failed to win. Due to this the mercury of Kamal Nath has risen.
BJP has quipped on Kamal Nath’s claim and allegation. BJP state spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi told the media that we have got majority in 38 municipal bodies. BJP has won all the seats in Khurai and Gadkota municipalities of Sagar. Even in tribal-dominated areas, the BJP has performed brilliantly. The party’s performance has also been good in Kamal Nath’s home constituency Chhindwara. Pankaj Chaturvedi said that Kamal Nath should tell why Congress candidates lost in his stronghold itself?
