In Maharashtra, a case has been registered against a 9-year-old boy for sexually abusing a four-and-a-half-year-old girl from his neighbourhood. This incident is of Ulhasnagar town. A case has been registered at Thane police station. According to a police officer, the victim’s mother has filed a complaint that on April 3, on the pretext of playing, the boy took the girl to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her.
The incident came to light when the girl complained of pain in her private part. A case under section 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act has been registered at Vithalwadi police station. Officials said the boy has not been taken into custody yet.
Another case of rape and murder of a minor in Bengal’s Nadia
At the same time, a few days after the rape and death of a minor girl in Hanskhali area of Nadia district of West Bengal, another teenager was found hanging in her relative’s house in the district itself. A police official said that in the complaint given by the girl’s father, it was alleged that a 15-year-old girl who had gone to her relative’s house in Dhantala was raped and murdered by her relative.
The police officer said that the girl’s body was found hanging from the noose in her relative’s house. He said that four people have been arrested in connection with the incident. However, he did not clarify whether the accused was one of them. The officer also said that after the complaint the post-mortem of the body has been done but the father of the teenager is not satisfied with him and has requested for re-examination.
