New Delhi. Today (January 31) CBI conducted raids in seven states in the Himachal Pradesh Police recruitment scam case. During this, the investigating agency has received many important evidence and documents, which can prove to be helpful in taking strict action against the accused involved in the case. The CBI team has raided 50 locations in the Union Territories including Bihar, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana. Let us tell you that after the recommendation of the Governor, the CBI had registered two FIRs in this matter. Meanwhile, the accused were also interrogated by the investigating agency.
Let us tell you that the examination for police recruitment was conducted on March 27, 2022. But before the exam, the question paper got leaked. The question paper was leaked in an organized manner. In which the names of the middlemen also came to light. After this, after taking cognizance of this matter, the then Chief Minister Jairam Thakur recommended a CBI inquiry and in addition, the Chief Secretary also recommended an inquiry by the Union Ministry of Personnel. After which the CBI had accelerated the pace of investigation.
At the same time, the candidates were also questioned in the matter. The candidates had accepted that they had obtained the question papers by paying lakhs of rupees. The candidates told that they had bought the question paper for seven to eight rupees. However, some candidates came under the scanner only when the marks obtained in the examination and the marks obtained in 10th and 12th were compared, there was a huge gap between the two. At the same time, the CBI has collected important evidence in this case by conducting raids in seven states. Now in such a situation, what stand will this whole matter take in the coming days.
