Android Smartphone Tips: Many Android users complain that their phone has become slow as it gets older, that is, now the apps and functions of the phone have become slow. Many times users face this problem due to the phone’s storage being full or not updating the phone. Apart from this, any malware app installed in the phone slows down its functioning. A common user does not know so many technical things and he remains troubled because of this.

If you also feel that the smartphone you are using has become slow, then you will have to follow some basic steps given by Google.
- For this you will have to go to the settings of the phone.
- After this, go to the Storage option and tap on Apps there to see the list of all the apps installed in the phone.
- Here you will see a list from the apps taking up the most space to the apps taking up the least space.
- Cache of apps which are taking more space will have to be cleared.
After clearing the cache of the apps, the load on the phone’s RAM will reduce and the phone starts running as fast as before. If your phone does not run faster even after following these steps, then you will have to update your phone’s software. Before updating the phone’s software, you have to keep in mind that there is enough internal storage in your phone. Apart from this, your phone will require more internet data, for which you will have to connect your smartphone to broadband (Wi-Fi).
How to use Safe Mode
Even after following these steps, if your phone is still slow, then you will have to use the phone in Safe Mode.
- To enable Safe Mode you have to press the power button of your phone.
- After this you will see the option to turn off and restart the phone on the screen.
- Then long press on the option to turn off the phone.
- Here you will get the option to start the phone in Safe Mode.
Safe Mode
If your phone starts running fast after turning on the phone in Safe Mode, it means that there is some app in the phone, which is making it slow. Switch off the phone and turn it on in normal mode. After this, delete all those apps which are affecting the speed of the phone. Despite all this, if your phone is running slow, then Factory Reset is the only option left. Before doing a factory reset, make a backup of your important documents and files. After factory resetting, all the old apps and files of the phone get deleted.
