Chandigarh. Traders cheated Rs 22.65 lakh from a person in Punjab. What the merchants sold as a priceless black horse, later turned out to be an ordinary horse, which was painted black. Ramesh Kumar, a textile trader from Sunam town in Sangrur district, said in a police complaint that he was allegedly duped by horse traders – Jatinder Pal Singh Sekhon, Lakhwinder Singh and Lachhra Khan – on the pretext of selling a black horse of Marwari breed.
He said that when he bathed the horse, the color washed away and the true brown color of the horse came out.
Kumar invested more money in the dark horse to start a stud farm.
The police have registered a case of cheating against the accused.
According to the police, the accused had cheated eight other people by selling fake breed horses.
