Share Market News : Indian stock market closed in the red on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Bombay Stock Exchange’s index Sensex closed at 77,209 today with a fall of 0.35 percent i.e. 269 points. At the time of market closing, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 stocks were in the red and 10 were in the green. Whereas, National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 23,501 today with a fall of 0.28 percent i.e. 65.90 points. At the time of market closing, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 18 were in the green and 32 were in the red.
Condition of Nifty shares
The biggest gainers of the Nifty pack on Friday were Bharti Airtel (1.64%), LTI Mindtree (1.38%), Hindalco (1.11%), Shriram Finance (0.80%) and Tata Steel (0.71%). The biggest losers were UltraTech Cement (2.42%), Adani Enterprises (2.04%), Larsen & Toubro (1.96%), Nestle India (1.90%) and Tata Motors (1.87%).
Status of sectoral indices
Talking about sectoral indices, the biggest decline on Friday was recorded in Nifty FMCG by 1.20 percent. Apart from this, Nifty PSU Bank fell by 1.14 percent, Nifty Oil and Gas by 1.07 percent, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 0.11 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index by 0.09 percent, Nifty Realty by 0.74 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.15 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.08 percent, Nifty FMCG by 1.20 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.19 percent, Nifty Auto by 0.69 percent and Nifty Bank by 0.24 percent. Apart from this, Nifty IT rose by 0.76 percent, Nifty Media by 0.95 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.40 percent and Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.75 percent.
