New Delhi. The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is all set to make a splash in the Indian market with the launch of several new vehicles next year. From affordable hatchbacks to premium hatchbacks, new-generation models, sedans and SUVs, the company is preparing to give a great gift to the customers by launching them in the market. An SUV which is in this list, it will be specially launched to compete with Hyundai’s popular SUV Creta.
Partnership with Toyota
Both Suzuki and Toyota are among the largest car makers in Japan. The two companies entered into a partnership in 2016 and a capital partnership in 2019 for long-term cooperation in areas such as technology for electric vehicles and autonomous driving. Through this partnership, both the companies will jointly develop new vehicles for the Indian market. Engine, battery and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology will also be developed under this partnership. Along with this, Maruti Suzuki will also introduce many new SUVs and crossover vehicles in the next 2-3 years.
When can it be launched?
However, information about the official launch timeline of this car has not been given by the company yet. But according to the report, this new SUV of Maruti Suzuki can knock in the Indian market next year i.e. in the second half of 2022.
Will be equipped with advanced features
The SUV that Maruti Suzuki is working on to compete with the Creta will be equipped with advanced features. According to a report, the length of this SUV could be around 4.3 meters and it could be based on the DNGA modular platform of Toyota and Daihatsu. Also, this car will get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, large touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, automatic climate control, cruise control and many other great and advanced features.
Engine and gearbox
According to the report, 1.4 liters of petrol is likely to be available in this car. With this, the car will get 138bhp power and 230Nm torque. Talking about the gearbox, according to the report, this SUV can get 3 options of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic.
