2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: The country’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up to launch a slew of new vehicles in the domestic market in the coming months, with the company recently expanding the lineup with the Celerio CNG. After which the company is now expected to launch the updated Baleno, while some people believe that before the Baleno, the company will introduce the new generation Brezza in the market.
According to a recent report that has surfaced on the internet, Maruti Suzuki will launch a new automatic transmission in place of the long-standing four-speed torque converter auto unit. The transmission is expected to be offered on the upcoming Ertiga, XL6 and Brezza range. Let us tell you that the Suzuki Vitara sold internationally has already been launched with this feature. As you all know, 4-speed AT has been in trend for almost two decades, and it is well received by the people despite some drawbacks as compared to modern AT.
The new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission enables gears, manual shifting function and Sport mode in the automatic transmission found in modern rivals. However, it will be priced higher than the 4-speed AT.

Company working on many new models
Note that, automakers are required to lower average CO2 levels in order to comply with CAFE 2 (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) regulations, and must have a more efficient transmission. Apart from this, Maruti will launch the new midsize SUV in partnership with Toyota during the festive season. At the same time, updated versions of the Ertiga, XL6 and an all-new Alto are in the works.
