Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that masks should be made mandatory in public places in Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat and Lucknow. In these districts, the people left out from vaccination should be identified and vaccinated. Public address system should be used effectively. People with symptoms should be tested.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was holding a meeting with the officials of Team-9 on Monday. He has directed that only the Omicron variant of COVID has been confirmed during genome sequencing of samples of patients found to be COVID positive in NCR. According to experts, it is possible that the number of cases will increase but there will be no situation of hospitalization or the patient becoming very serious. People should be made aware to follow the covid protocol.
Corona cases are increasing
The CM said that some states bordering the state are witnessing an increase in the cases of COVID. It is also having effect in the districts of NCR. Cases are increasing here for the last few days. In the last 24 hours, 65 new positive patients have been confirmed in Gautam Budh Nagar, 20 in Ghaziabad and 10 in Lucknow. The situation in these areas should be closely monitored.
Total number of active cases 695
At present, the total number of active cases in the state is 695. In the last 24 hours, 83 thousand 864 corona tests were done, in which 115 new corona patients were confirmed. In the same period, 29 people also became corona free. We have to take utmost care and caution.
