New Delhi. Rajeev Nayan Mishra, the main accused in the UP Police recruitment exam paper leak scandal, has been arrested by the Meerut STF team. STF team arrested Rajiv Nayan from Greater Noida on the night of 2 April. After this, the STF team brought him to Kankarkheda police station in Meerut, where a case was registered against him. Actually, the UP Police recruitment exam was held on 17-18 February. About 40 lakh candidates had appeared in it. After the paper leak came to light, there were many demonstrations across the state. After this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had canceled the recruitment examination. Along with this, the government decided to conduct the examination again in 6 months.
Rajiv told the STF during interrogation that apart from Gurgaon, he had also got the paper read with his gang in a resort in Rewa. Meerut STF ASP Brijesh Kumar Singh said, on the evening of April 2, STF had received input that Rajiv Nayan Mishra, the accused who leaked the paper in the police recruitment examination, was in Greater Noida. After this the teams became active and reached Greater Noida. STF has arrested Rajeev Nayan from Pari Chowk, Greater Noida. Rajiv is originally a resident of village Amora of Meja police station of Prayagraj. These days he lives in Bharat Nagar, JK Road, Bhopal. The team has arrested him from Pari Chowk Noida. A case has been registered against Rajiv under various sections in Kankarkheda police station of Meerut. Rajiv told STF during interrogation that earlier also he had been jailed in Gwalior in NHM scam and Kaushambi in UP Tate paper leak. Let us tell you that in the UP Police Paper Recruitment Leak case, till now 13 accused have been arrested from different places while many others are still absconding.
