face. The Crime Branch of the police has arrested a Maulvi in Surat, Gujarat. His name is Mohammad Sohail alias Maulvi Abubakar Teamol. The arrested accused, 27 years old, was caught from Kathore area. He is accused of conspiring to kill BJP leaders and the president of a Hindu organization.
Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot told the media that the Crime Branch had received information that a person was committing anti-national activities. He was being monitored. Police Commissioner said that the mobile phone of Mohammad Sohail alias Maulvi Abubakar Teamol, arrested from Chowk Bazaar area, was seized and it was revealed that he used to chat with people from Pakistan and Nepal. His plan was first to kill the national president of Hindu Sanatan Sangh, Upadesh Rana. According to Surat Police, Sohail was in contact with radicals from Pakistan and Nepal. He gave a betel nut worth Rs 1 crore to kill Upadesh Rana and tried to get weapons from Pakistan.
According to the police, the arrested Sohail alias Maulvi Abubakar Teemol works in a thread manufacturing company and also teaches Islam to children at home. He was in contact with Dagar of Pakistan and Shahnaz of Nepal. All three used to chat that in India, the honor of the Prophet i.e. Prophet Mohammed is being insulted and such people need to be straightened out. Regarding Mohammad Sohail, the police has revealed that he was also planning to murder suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and BJP MLA from Goshamahal seat of Hyderabad T. Raja Singh. The people chatting with him were also promising to provide weapons soon.
