In the notice, Mufti has sought compensation of Rs 10 crore for the alleged derogatory remarks against him. Along with this, the former CM has asked Malik to pay the compensation within 30 days or face legal proceedings.

He informed that the money thus raised was to be used for setting up of hydroelectric power plants in the state. However, the scheme was scrapped after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court declared it illegal and directed the CBI to investigate the beneficiaries of the scheme.
Along with this, recently the Governor of Meghalaya said during a program that he had canceled two deals involving the involvement of Ambani and an RSS functionary while being the governor of Kashmir. In lieu of this deal, I was offered Rs 150-150 crore.
