Mukhtar Ansari: A Career in Crime and Politics: Mukhtar Ansari was such a big king of the dark world of crime that as soon as he won, a series on his life became Raktanchal. But believe me, the life of this dreaded mafia don was more horrifying than this series. Despite being born in a very elite family, Mukhtar Ansari made crime his love at the age of 15. He found great satisfaction in dominating people and publicly tormenting them. Mukhtar Ansari maintained his dominance for 36 years by increasing his influence in eastern Uttar Pradesh through government contracts and extortion. But the end was also very painful. 65 cases were registered against him and for the last several years he was roaming in various jails of the country. In the end he died in jail and a world of crime came to an end. Know here the details of his black deeds in a sequential manner.
First encounter with the law in 15 years
Mukhtar Ansari was born in 1963 in a very elite family of the country. His grandfather was Dr. MA Ansari who became president of both the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League. Mukhtar Ansari was born in such a big family but at the age of 15, Mukhtar Ansari took admission in the dark world of crime. His first encounter with the law was when he was booked for criminal intimidation at Saidpur police station in Ghazipur. For the next 10 years, he had become a notorious criminal in Mau and the surrounding areas. That is, by the age of 25, he had taken the entire eastern Uttar Pradesh under his criminal influence. With this, he started taking many government contracts and became the uncrowned king of the mafia circle.
First murder trial in 1996
A decade later, in 1986, a murder case was filed against Mukhtar Ansari at Muhammad Police Station in Ghazipur. After this, Ansari started committing so many crimes that it cannot even be counted. In the next decade i.e. till 1996, 14 more cases were registered against him under serious charges including murder and kidnapping. Mukhtar Ansari’s criminal graph kept increasing. The interesting thing is that despite being such a big criminal, Mukhtar Ansari had no problem in entering politics. This was the period when crime had become mixed in the politics of North India.
MLA for the first time at the age of 33
Mukhtar Ansari became MLA from Mau for the first time in 1996 at the age of 33 on Bahujan Samaj Party ticket. But after this, in 2002 and 2007, Ansari was elected to the UP Assembly from Mau as an independent candidate. In 2012, he formed his own party Comi Ekta Dal and again became MLA from Mau. In 2017, Ansari once again won from the same seat. In the 2022 UP Assembly elections, Mukhtar Ansari left this seat for his son Abbas Ansari and Abbas Ansari is also the MLA from this seat from Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. Although Abbas Ansari is also in jail.
Life imprisonment in the death of brother of current Congress President of UP
Mukhtar Ansari did not spare anyone. On August 3, 1991, when Awadhesh Rai and his brother Ajay were standing outside their house in Lahurabir area of Varanasi, Awadhesh Rai was shot by bullets. In this case, on June 5, 2023, a court in Varanasi had sentenced Mukhtar Ansari to life imprisonment. Ajay Rai is today the President of UP Congress.
500 rounds of bullets on BJP leader Krishnanand Rai
This was the time when people in eastern Uttar Pradesh used to tremble at the name of Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari. In the 2002 assembly elections, Afzal Ansari was fielded from the Ansari-dominated Mohammadabad seat, but for the first time, the Ansari brothers were challenged in this area and that challenge was given by none other than Krishnanand Rai. Rai became MLA from BJP. The Ansari brothers did not tolerate this defeat of political influence and on 29 November 2005, when Krishnanand Rai was returning after inaugurating a program, bullets were fired at his convoy on a narrow road. It is said that around 1-47 to 500 bullets were fired. Krishnanand Rai and 7 others died on the spot. The entire Purvanchal was horrified by this sensational murder.
Lawsuits and lawsuits everywhere.
When the bad days of Mukhtar Ansari started, cases started being filed against him in every way. From 2005 till now, Mukhtar Ansari remained in jail in UP and Punjab. After 2005, 28 criminal cases were registered against Ansari, including murder, extortion and under the Gangster Act. By September 2022, Mukhtar Ansari had been proven guilty in 8 different criminal cases while his trial was going on in 21 cases.
