Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal advanced to the quarter-finals of the Mexico Open tennis tournament with easy wins here on Wednesday. Medvedev also made a strong move to top the ATP rankings with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Pablo Andujar.

Nadal defeated Stefan Kozlov 6-0, 6-3. This is Nadal’s 12th consecutive win this season. Prior to this, he had won 11 consecutive victories in 2014. He then lost to Wawrinka in the final of the Australian Open. He is aiming to win his third trophy of the season and 91st in his career.
