New Delhi. There is good news for those getting employment through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme i.e. MNREGA. Before the voting of Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government at the Center has increased the wage rate under MNREGA. MNREGA wage rates have increased by 3 to 10 percent for different states. Notification of new wage rates of MNREGA has been issued.
The latest wage rates under MNREGA are for the financial year 2024-25. That means, on March 31 next year, MNREGA workers will get work at this rate only. If the Central Government wishes, it can increase the wage rates of the scheme in between. The new wage rates for MNREGA will be applicable from April 1. The highest MNREGA wage rate has been fixed for Haryana. Now every MNREGA worker in Haryana will be given Rs 374 per day. In many other states also, the new wage rates of MNREGA have been kept more than Rs 300. You can see the rate given for MNREGA wages in which state in the list given below.
