New Delhi. The campaign launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to provide a roof over the head of every poor has got great success. CM Yogi had demanded more than 8 lakh houses from the Central Government under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), which has been approved by the Union Ministry of Rural Development on Tuesday. The Ministry has approved an amount of Rs 10 thousand crore for the construction of these houses. This simply means that now additional 8 lakh poor families of the state will be able to get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Not only this, these houses will be ready by March 2024. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Rural Development by tweeting from his Twitter handle. It may be known that so far 27 lakh houses have been built in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). With the approval of more than eight lakh new houses, Uttar Pradesh has become such a state in the country where more than 35 lakh houses will be built in rural areas.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is very concerned for the poor of the state. This concern of his is also reflected in his address from time to time. It is a hallmark of the same that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had written a letter to the Central Government demanding 8,62,767 new houses in the rural areas of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). His efforts paid off and the Ministry of Rural Development of the Central Government has approved the demand of CM Yogi and has approved 8,62,767 new houses and released an amount of 10 thousand crores. All the houses will be ready by March 2024.
In such a situation, Uttar Pradesh will be such a state in the whole country where more than 35 lakh houses have been built in the rural areas. In fact, under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, 27 lakh houses have been built in the state in the last five and a half years under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Out of these, 26 lakh houses have already been handed over to the beneficiaries. The rest is under process. It may be known that a target of 2.95 crore Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas has been set in the entire country, in which 35 lakh houses will be built in UP alone.
