Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after reviewing the social media activities of party MPs on various topics, has advised them to increase their presence on these platforms. Interacting with BJP MPs from different states during the recently concluded budget session, Prime Minister Modi asked them to be more visible and active on social media platforms.
Prime Minister Modi regularly holds meetings with BJP MPs from different states during the Parliament session.
Sources said that during such interactions, the Prime Minister discussed the social media activities of party MPs and advised them to increase their presence.
A party insider said the social media activities of BJP MPs on over a dozen subjects were reviewed and it was found that none was active on all the parameters set by Prime Minister Modi.
He said, “There were over a dozen topics and it was reviewed whether the MPs had tweeted on all the topics or not. Surprisingly it was found that most of the MPs failed to tweet on all the topics mentioned in the list.”
It is learned that the MPs were asked whether they had tweeted or not about the topics identified by the Prime Minister.
A party insider said, “Some were handed over the report in an envelope, while some senior leaders were pointed out by the Prime Minister to tweet on specific issues or topics. Didn’t tweet on the issues.The PM also told them about a specific topic on which they failed to tweet.
Sources said the topics on which the MPs’ tweets were reviewed include ‘Operation Ganga’, ‘party’s victory in the recent assembly elections’, ‘vaccine drive for 12 to 14 years’, ‘combat opposition’, ‘opposition politics’. ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, ‘Hashtag Related Content’ and others.
A BJP MP said, “Prime Minister Modi asked MPs to be more visible on social media platforms and tell people about government works.”
