Now the Meteorological Department has said that the common people suffering from heat wave and scorching heat will get relief soon. The Meteorological Department has said in its latest forecast that monsoon rains may soon occur in the areas affected by severe heat and heat wave.
According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has advanced. Monsoon is expected to reach Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, northwestern Bay of Bengal, areas adjoining the Ganges in West Bengal and Bihar in the next few days. The latest forecast of the Meteorological Department suggests that the pace of monsoon is currently fine and it will reach the rest of the country including Delhi on time. The date of arrival of monsoon in Delhi is June 27. Along with the forecast about monsoon, the Meteorological Department has said that North India may get some relief from heat after June 18. Severe heat wave may prevail in the country’s capital Delhi even today. Punjab and Haryana will also experience intense heat today.
According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave is likely to continue in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, northern parts of Rajasthan and northern parts of Chhattisgarh till June 18. At the same time, moderate rain may also occur in West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura in the next few days. Apart from Kerala and Telangana, some parts of Odisha are also likely to receive rain in the next few days. Some areas of Bihar may also get drenched due to light rain. So, for now, stay away from heat wave and leave the house in the afternoon only if there is urgent work. If it is necessary to leave the house, then drink plenty of water.
