Congress MLAs said that thousands of cows died across the state, not even given the amount of grant.
MP Assembly News: Bhopal (State Bureau). BJP MLA Subedar Singh Rajoudha raised the matter of sudden death of cow, buffalo and other animals in Morena through calling attention in the assembly on Thursday. Congress MLAs created a ruckus on this issue and accused the government that there would have been a lot of talk of cows but no work is being done for their protection. They are neither getting fodder nor straw to eat. Grant has not been given for eight months. The cowsheds are closed. Cow slaughter is happening. Even before Revenue Minister Govind Rajput could reply, Congress MLAs walked out in protest. At the same time, Rajoudha demanded the government to give compensation to the cattle owners considering the death of animals as a natural calamity.
BJP MLA from Jaura assembly constituency Rajoudha said that farmers are not getting compensation after the death of animals. It is not considered as a natural disaster. As soon as they raised this issue, Congress’s Dr. Govind Singh, Sajjan Singh Verma, Vijay Laxmi Sadho, Lakhan Singh Yadav, PC Sharma, Priyavrat Singh and other MLAs stood together and alleged that cows are dying in the entire state. Government is not taking any step. Even straw is not available to feed the animals.
Congress members spoke together for a long time and then walked out. At the same time, Rajoudha demanded the government to compensate the affected by including the death of animals in the natural calamity. Revenue Minister Govind Singh Rajput replied that on the death of livestock, the Animal Husbandry Department had sent veterinary doctors for investigation. Post mortem was also conducted and it came to light that the animals died due to diseases including pneumonia, mixed infection and other diseases. Death due to illness does not come under the category of compensation under the provisions of the Revenue Book Circular but will be considered.

Congress MLA from Bargi Assembly Sanjay Yadav raised the issue of pending Baradev Micro Lift Irrigation Project. He said that 72 thousand 864 farmers of 103 villages would be benefited by this project and 28 thousand 500 hectare area would get irrigation facility, but it is pending. Due to this the tribals of the area are upset and have been agitating for 15 days.
Even after reaching the letter from Chief Minister Manit, no action is being taken. Responding to this, Minister of State, Narmada Valley Development Department, Bharat Singh Kushwaha said that it is not possible to include the new scheme at present. Farmers themselves can draw water for irrigation by using pumps. Instructions have also been given for this. On this, MLA Lakhan Ghanghoria said that water cannot climb even from the motor. Speaker Girish Gautam said that you should get it checked whether the water can climb or not. On this, the departmental minister assured to conduct an inquiry.
