Former Chief Minister and BJP’s Fire Broad leader Uma Bharti, who is in favor of prohibition of liquor in Madhya Pradesh, has taken a dig at Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government in the state for the liquor policy. The new liquor policy of the government has been described as making people drink more alcohol.
Before Chaitra Navratri, Uma Bharti tweeted one after the other. He has written, since tomorrow is the Navratri of Chaitra, this is the festival of worship of women power for nine days.
Referring to the new liquor policy in the state, Uma Bharti wrote, “Today we have implemented a new liquor policy in Madhya Pradesh, in this, how to make people drink more alcohol, how to serve more liquor in the courtyards, fixed this system. Referring to the voice being raised by the BJP against the liquor policies in other states, he wrote, BJP’s state units of Chhattisgarh and Delhi have come out on the road in protest against similar liquor policy.
He further said, I am with the women and daughters of Madhya Pradesh, I am also concerned for the sons who have become victims of alcoholism, I am also ashamed that we are earning revenue by playing on their honor and life.
It is to be known that Uma Bharti has also pelted stones at a liquor shop in the capital, taking the side of the liquor ban in Bhopal. Now the new policy of alcohol has raised many more questions.
