MP News: Bhopal. (State Bureau). Community Forest Management Societies will get 20 percent instead of 10 percent of the net income from sale of forest produce and wood. In the cabinet, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan disagreed with the proposal of the Forest Department to give 10 percent share of the income and made it 20 percent. At the same time, the closure of the Capital Project Administration (CPA) was also stamped. The meeting also approved the Third Supplementary Budget and Finance Bill 2022.
In the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday, the Chief Minister changed the proposal to give 10 percent dividend of the net profit from forest produce and wood to the Forest Committee (Rural). This will also stop illegal logging in forests and increase revenue.
State Government Spokesperson Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra informed that 33 percent of the entry fee in national parks and sanctuaries and the full share of tourism income in buffer areas will be given to the concerned forest committees. Under the provisions of the Panchayat (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act (PESA), if the number of Scheduled Tribes in the Gram Sabha is more than 50 percent, the chairperson of the committee will be reserved for this category.
CPA divided into two halves
The cabinet approved the proposal to split the responsibility of Capital Project Administration (CPA) into two parts by closing it. Under this, the Public Works Department will look after the maintenance of all the roads and buildings maintained by the CPA in Bhopal. All officers-employees of CPA, except those on deputation, will be merged in Public Works and Forest Department. The responsibility of the parks will be handled by the Forest Department.
Approval of 12 irrigation projects worth 26 thousand 716 crores
In the meeting, 12 irrigation projects worth 26 thousand 716 crore proposed of Narmada Valley Development and Water Resources Department were approved for making full use of Narmada water. Now both the departments Kukshi Lift Minor Irrigation Project, Upper Narmada Project, Raghavpur Multipurpose Project, Basaniya Multi Purpose Project, Sugar Pench Link Joint Project, Dudhi Project, Handia Barrage Project, Hoshangabad Barrage Project, Jhirnya Small Lift Irrigation Project, Hatpipalya Small Lift Irrigation Project, Will invite tenders for Upper Budhner Major Project and Sher Irrigation Complex Project.
Tendu leaves collectors will get 75 percent dividend
More than 42 lakh tendu patta collectors of the state will now be given 75 percent dividend instead of 70. Along with this, dividend will also be given to the Gram Sabha under the provision of PESA Act. It will be five percent.
