The Datia police of MP had come to Lucknow to get the non-bailable warrants issued against 14 people including Sahara Group chief Subrata Rai Sahara. The team, which reached Sahara city located in Gomtinagar, searched for two hours. After not getting any accused related to the trial, the team returned after pasting the notice.
Datia Inspector Ravind Sharma told that many people had invested money in Sahara Chit Fund Company. Even after the expiry of the time, the investors’ money was not returned. In Datia Kotwali 14 cases were registered on different dates. In these, Subrata Roy, Swapna Rai, Anil Pandey, DK Srivastava, Rumi Dutta, Karunesh Awasthi, Rana Jia, Abdul Dabir and other board members were made accused. According to the inspector, the accused did not appear even after several dates in the trial. Warrant had been issued against him earlier also.
Non-bailable warrants were issued against Subrata Roy and others for his continuous absence. He had come here to serve the warrant. Ravind Sharma told that they had gone to Sahara city, where search was done for a long time. No accused found. After this, a notice to appear in the court was pasted at the gate of Sahara city. In the warrant, the accused have been given time till May 5 to appear in the court.
