Deeg. District Collector Utsav Skills are constantly active in the preparations for the historic Mudiya Purnima fair, which is going to start from next month and continuously monitor the necessary arrangements in Taili. On Monday morning, the District Collector Kaushal Gram Panchayat reached village Taili in Sanvai, where he visited the circumambulation road with the officials of Deeg district and closely reviewed all the necessary arrangements. During the inspection, the District Collector gave clear instructions to the officials to personally inspect the works by staying in the field and ensure that the concerned departments should complete the tasks assigned within the stipulated time frame by following the instructions issued from time to time.
He stressed that special attention should be paid to basic facilities such as cleanliness, drinking water availability, proper arrangement of toilets, security arrangements, smooth traffic management, better health services and adequate lighting arrangements, so that the devotees coming to the fair do not have any kind of inconvenience.
The District Collector also gave special instructions to deal with the problem of waterlogging in view of the upcoming monsoon season during the visit to Parikrama Marg. He directed the Rural and Panchayati Raj Department and the Public Works Department to solve the problem on priority basis with the help of equipment required to deal with the problem of waterlogging and MNREGA personnel.
He asked the officer to get rid of waterlogging by ensuring cleanliness of the drain, removing dirt and waterlogging. Additionally, he also instructed to do proper barricading around water sources, keeping dustbin from place to place and constant monitoring of each work.
Kaushal directed to give top priority to the work of leveling the Parikrama Marg and ensuring the drainage of water from the route. He clarified that if it is not possible to build a pucca drain in places where waterlogging is being created during the rainy season, immediate drainage should be made by making temporary drain and drains. Also, instructions were given to ensure the drainage of water by planting pumps as per the requirement.
During the inspection, the District Collector inspected all the places where rainwater logging can be created. Shri Kaushal instructed to complete the drainage work by making an action plan in a timely and effective manner, so that a situation like waterlogging does not arise in the parikrama area. He also instructed other departments including Forest Department, Rural and Panchayati Raj Department, Public Works Department, Autonomous Government Department to inspect the unmatched places and to ensure effective action with immediate effect.
