Mumbai: Central Railway will run tight, 306 special trains will run for Ganpati festival

Mumbai The Central Railway is making extensive arrangements to ensure comfortable and hassle -free journey for passengers during Ganpati festival. Indian Railways has announced 380 Ganpati special trains so far for the convenience of devotees during the festival, out of which Central Railway is operating 306 trains.

These trains are running for major destinations of Maharashtra and Konkan region like Madgaon, Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, Khed, Chiploon, Pune, Nagpur etc., where there is a huge crowd of passengers in the festive season.

Special trains for Ganpati festival have started from 22 August. The Central Railway has made special arrangements at several stations for the convenience of passengers. Officers and commercial inspectors have been deployed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Thane and Panvel stations so that the mob management can be effectively.

In addition, about 180 ticket check -up workers have been deployed round the clock for congestion at these stations. Additional ticket checking staff has also been deputed at Chinchpokali and Curry Road stations.

To further improve ticket facilities, Central Railway has distributed 30 mobile-UTS (unreserved ticket system) systems at Chinchpokali, Curry Road, Baykula, Parel, Dadar, Cotton Green, Wadala Road, Thane and Panvel stations.

Along with this, mobile-ITS and UTS app promotion team will be deployed at Chinchpokali, Curry Road, Baykula, Parel, Dadar and Cotton Green stations for ten days from August 27.

Two additional UTS windows will also be opened from August 27 at Chinchpokali and Curry Road stations.

For the convenience of passengers, additional facilities will be deployed at Chinchpokali, Curry Road, Baykula, Parel, Dadar and Cotton Green Stations.

The Central Railway has set up banners and stands at CSMT, Dadar, Thane, LTT, Diva, Kalyan and Panvel stations to make the information of Ganpati Special trains to the passengers. In addition, these special trains are being widely publicized through print and social media.

The Chief Commerce Inspector (announcer) will be available in the Central announcement chamber to monitor regular announcements.

These preparations of the Central Railway have been made during the Ganpati festival to provide safe and smooth travel experiences to the passengers, so that devotees and passengers can reach their destinations without any trouble.
