The third wave of covid is increasing rapidly. However, the good thing is that in most of the cases patients are showing mild symptoms of covid and the mortality rate is very low. Still, the administration is alert and leaving no stone unturned.
Talking about Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, the administration here is suffering from a new type of problem. It has been learned that home test kits of COVID are available in medical stores. People are doing COVID test at home through these kits. The problem is that due to this type of investigation, the exact figure of the actual number of COVID infected patients is not available to the administration. Patients coming positive are definitely getting treatment by staying at home.
According to the Economic Times report, the Mumbai Metropolitan Municipality Administration is contemplating to ban the home test kit so that the correct figures of the disease are available in front of the administration. Let us inform that the data of RT PCR test of COVID has been shared by the laboratory with the administration. But this is not the case with home test kits. Along with this, the administration has also received information that during January 1, 2022 to January 7, 2022, about 5 lakh COVID home test kits have been sold in Mumbai. Taking cognizance of this development, Mumbai Mayor Kishore Pednekar has told the media that the administration may consider banning such kits.
