In such a situation, according to information received from a news channel, actor and Nana Patekar’s look alike Teerthanand Rao, who was active in the industry for 15 years, tried to commit suicide by consuming poison on the evening of December 27. However, when the people around came to know about this, he was taken to the hospital and his life was saved. Tirthananda was hospitalized for four days and is now recovering.
Regarding his condition, Teerthanand said, ‘Yes, I had consumed poison and my condition was critical. I am fed up with financial constraints. I stayed in the hospital but my mother and brother did not even come to see me. We live in the same house. The family has not spoken to me for 15 years. I have not spent even a single rupee on my treatment. I am in debt. Even after coming home from the hospital, I am alone. What could be worse than this. My mother never asked me if I ate. I was married but my wife has remarried. Daughter is also married. There is no contact with him now.
Tell that after taking a step like suicide, Teerthanand said, “I am stuck between my family and work. I don’t know how to get out of this. Work is also closed and there is loneliness in the house. So I took this step. However, after persuading the police, doctors and friends, I will never do this again. I will not leave. When I fainted, the doctor also called the police. The police was also surprised at the behavior of the people of my house. He told me that he could not believe that these people were his relatives. I have apologized to the police. Now I want to do job and follow my passion. Tirthanand further said, ‘I am from Virar. I was fond of acting and I have been acting since last 15 years. This work has given me a lot. Branded clothes, travel, good money, everything, but I’m back to zero right now. I have worked in eight different languages. I have been called Nana Patekar’s look alike in the industry. If I imitated him, my image also became a copy of Nana Patekar. I recently released a film. I have played the role of police. My work has been praised, but praise does not fill the stomach. The producers did not pay. Made web series on small digital platform. He didn’t even get the money.
Teerthanand further said that he acted in ‘Ajooba’ of ‘Comedy Circus’. Here he worked with Shweta Tiwari, Kapil Sharma. In 2016, Kapil acted in several episodes of the show. At that time there was a fight between Kapil and Sunil Grover. After this Kapil called for a character. Although at that time he was doing a Gujarati film.
